Amongst other functions under the Retail Leases Act 2003, the Small Business Commissioner has the function of preparing and publishing guidelines about retail leases (section 84(1)(f)).  The Guidelines are made with the aim of assisting the general understanding of the Retail Leases Act 2003. 

In light of changes made to the Retail Leases Act 2003 by the Retail Leases (Amendment) Act 2005 the guidelines - What are "Retail Premises"? - have been updated, and these amended guidelines can be downloaded below.
