Help for businesses damaged or destroyed by bushfires PDF Print E-mail

The Commonwealth and Victorian Governments have developed a $51 million first stage joint package to assist businesses directly damaged or destroyed by the bushfires.

The package focuses on subsidised low-interest loans, business assistance grants and business re-start mentors.

For any disputes relating to the bushfires of 7 February 2009, for example, under the Retail Leases Act 2003 (retail tenancy) or Small Business Commissioner Act 2003 (business-business or business-government), the VSBC will mediate free of charge to both parties.
